UK people 'spend more time on holidays than mortgages'
People in the UK spend more time planning their holidays than they do researching their mortgage, it has been revealed.
Research conducted by Fool.co.uk found that over a third of UK adults spend at least ten hours preparing for their holidays; however only a fifth of people would spend the same amount of time looking into mortgages.
David Kuo, head of personal finance at Fool.co.uk, said: "Who can blame people for wanting to spend more time planning their holiday than poring over financial products?
"But while a good holiday will recharge your energy levels for a few weeks, healthy finances can boost your bank balance for a lifetime."
People may be able to save up to £3,000 by choosing the right financial products, Mr Kuo added, enabling people to go on the holiday of a lifetime.
Fool.co.uk recently reported that one in ten people in the UK have brought forward their plans to move home in light of the recent fall in house prices.
People looking to go on holiday or review their home loan situation may wish to take out a loan.
