Fiat 500 launched in style
The new Fiat 500 was launched in style this week, taking a trip in a capsule on the London Eye.
At exactly 20:00 GMT on January 21st, 500 hours into 2008, 500 VIPs along with 1,500 other guests saw the introduction of the new vehicle from the Italian car manufacturer.
"We are confident that this car, with it stylish looks, economical consumption figures, outstanding safety features and green credentials, will win a place in everyone's hearts," said Andrew Humberstone, Fiat managing director.
Kelly Osbourne, Jade Jagger, Eva Herzigova, Eddie Jordan, Leah Wood and Lawrence Dallaglio were on hand to enjoy music from the likes of Mika and The Feeling at the new Fiat's launch party.
Older Fiat 500s were also involved in the celebrations, with the newest Fiat 500 now a resident of the London Eye capsule for the next two weeks.
The Fiat 500 was recently named Car of the Year 2008, the 12th time a Fiat car has won the prestigious award, the manufacturer's website states.
