Most drivers 'know exactly which car they want'
Motorists know what they want when it comes to buying a new car, it has been claimed.
According to research from British Car Auctions (BCA), at the top of consumers' priorities when the look to buy a car, is getting "exactly the car they wanted".
Other important factors when choosing a dealer highlighted in the survey included the attaining the best price possible, location and customer service.
Tim Naylor, public relations officer for BCA, explained that 50 per cent of people have an exact car in mind when they go to purchase a vehicle and emphasised the fact that people looking to buy a car should take advantage of the array of choices that will be on offer next month.
"March will definitely be a great time for a wide range of choice, whether buying from a dealer or at auction," Mr Naylor commented.
"So buyers should make the most of the influx of used vehicles as March 1st sees the new registration plates hit the road."
Buying cars online may be up to 11 per cent cheaper than going to a dealer, however, according to recent research from Which?.
