Don't let finances get worse, urges financial writer
Individuals in financial difficulty should bury their heads in the sand but instead do something about it according to personal finances writer Cliff D'Arcy.
The problem will not just go away, he argues, and the best way to deal with the problem is to face it head on.
He added that concerned consumers should get in touch with their bank and consider getting advice from debt counselling services and online consultancies.
Mr D'Arcy commented: "If you are finding that debt is becoming a problem and is making you depressed or miserable, you can get in touch with some free debt counselling charities and take advice from some of the personal finance websites."
Research recently carried out by Monilink found that 21 per cent of people in the UK who have the chance to save would rather spend that money on "personal treats".
